Job Description
African Women and Youth Action for Development (AWYAD) is a national locally-led, women, children and youth-focused humanitarian and development organization committed to protecting and empowering women, youth, and children across Uganda. AWYAD implements integrated protection, child protection, gender-based violence (GBV), mental health and psychosocial support (MPSS), education, and livelihoods programmes in refugee settlements and host communities.
AWYAD is seeking qualified, competent, and passionate individuals to fill the following positions across different field locations in Uganda under its Protection Programme.
Protection (GBV & CP) Officer – 6 Positions
Nakivale, Rhino Camp, Palabek, Kyangwali, Kisoro, Kiryandong
Key Responsibilities:
- Support integrated GBV and child protection programming, supervise case workers, strengthen referrals and community engagement mechanisms.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, Community Psychology, Development Studies or related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in child protection programming.
