Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fil the following vacant posts which exist in Kiruhura District.

Application forms PSC Form 3 (Revised 2008) are obtained from Secretaries of District Service Commission country wide as well as Public Service Commission.

Applicants must attach photocopies of their Certificates, Transcripts together with (3) three recent passport photographs and a photocopy of National Identity Card.

JOB PURPOSE
  • To type office work and maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the office.
KEY OUTPUTS
  • Correspondences and office work typed.
  • Mails received and dispatched.
  • Telephone calls received and appropriately handled.
  • Clients received and guided.
  • Cleanliness and orderliness of the office maintained.
  • Records, office stationery, and equipment properly kept and managed.
KEY FUNCTIONS
  • Type correspondences and general office work.
  • Receive and dispatch mails.
  • Receive and handle telephone calls.
  • Receive clients and provide guidance.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the office environment.
  • Keep and manage records, office stationery, and office equipment.
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ordinary Level Certificate with at least 2 credits including English Language and three (3) passes.
  • UNEB Certificate or Diploma in Secretarial Studies or equivalent qualification from a recognized awarding institution.
  • Must have competence in:
    • Business Communication Stage I
    • Typewriting Stage II (40 wpm)
    • Office Practice Stage I
    • Computer skills using word processing
