Job Advert: Finance Manager
Employment Type: Full-time
On behalf of our client, we seek to recruit and interview for a Finance Manager to lead our finance function and support the achievement of our organisational objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, reporting, compliance, and strengthening internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the organisation.
- Prepare and monitor annual budgets and cash flow forecasts.
- Produce timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax laws, and statutory requirements.
- Manage the preparation of annual financial statements and coordinate external audits.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls and risk management systems.
- Supervise accounting staff and provide leadership to the finance team.
- Manage payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury functions.
- Advise senior management on financial planning and strategic decision-making.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
- Liaise with banks, auditors, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent.
- Membership with a recognized professional accounting body is an added advantage.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least two (2) years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, financial management, and budgeting.
- Experience with accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
