Job Title: Trade Marketer – Branch Experience
Location: Uganda
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports to: Retail & Operations Head

Company Overview:
Our client is a leading player in Uganda’s automotive and mobility sector, with a strong presence in the motorcycle market. The organization specializes in the distribution and retail of motorcycles, genuine spare parts, after-sales services, and local motorcycle assembly, supported by a growing branch and distribution network across Uganda.

Position Summary:
The Trade Marketer – Branch Experience will own the look, feel, and in-store experience of the branches, ensuring that customers receive a consistent and professional experience across the network. The role will be responsible for branch branding, merchandising, customer experience, campaign execution, and ensuring that the defined branch standards and workflows are consistently implemented.
The position will work closely with branch and field teams to maintain brand standards, identify gaps, and drive improvements that strengthen customer engagement and the overall branch experience.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain the in-branch customer experience, including how a customer is greeted, handled, and served upon entry.
  • Design branch workflows and ensure they are standardized, communicated, and consistently followed across all branches.
  • Own branch branding and merchandising, ensuring a consistent look, feel, and standard across all branches.
  • Ensure branch displays, signage, promotional materials, product presentation, and customer-facing areas are maintained according to the required standards.
  • Verify that in-branch promotions and campaigns are running correctly, consistently, and on-brand.
  • Coordinate with branch teams to ensure marketing and promotional materials are correctly positioned and effectively utilized.
  • Audit branches on presentation, branding, merchandising, and customer experience, and drive corrective actions with branch teams.
  • Identify gaps in branch presentation and customer experience and work with relevant teams to implement practical improvements.
  • Gather feedback from branches and customers to identify opportunities to improve the in-branch experience.
  • Monitor the execution and effectiveness of branch activations, promotional displays, and customer-facing initiatives.
  • Maintain consistency in the brand’s physical presence across all branches and ensure deviations are identified and addressed promptly.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 3–5 years of experience in trade marketing, retail marketing, merchandising, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of in-store customer experience, retail presentation, branding, and merchandising.
  • Experience working with retail outlets, branches, dealer networks, or multi-location businesses is an added advantage.
  • Strong ability to translate brand standards into practical execution at branch level.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with branch and field teams.
  • Comfortable travelling to branches and working hands-on with field teams.
  • Self-driven, practical, and comfortable operating in a field-based environment.
