Job Description
NADO-U is an independent body established under the National Sports Act, 2023 (as amended), mandated to promote clean sport, protect athletes and uphold the integrity of sport in Uganda.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans for the following positions:
CHAPERONE – 20 POSITIONS
Salary: Facilitation allowance on completion of assignment | Duty Station: Field Basis | Ref
ADM/01/07/2028-13 | Reports to: Doping Control
Officer | Terms of Service: On Need Basis
Job Purpose.
To assist in athlete notification and escorting during doping control missions, ensure that athletes are property informed about testing procedures and remain under observation until the sample collection process is completed.
Roles and Responsibilities.
- Notifying and escorting athletes selected for testing to Doping Control station in accordance with NADO-U guidelines.
- Ensuring athletes understand their rights and responsibilities during sample collection.
- Assisting Doping Control Officers in documentation and athlete handling procedures.
- Reporting any issues, refusals, or delays during athlete escort.
- Supporting awareness and education activities where applicable.
Minimum Qualification:
Diploma in any academic field from a recognized institution or University.
OR O’ Level Certificate with Certificate of training as Anti-Doping Chaperone
Experience in anti-doping activities or as an athlete is an added advantage.
