Job Advert: Marketing and Communications Supervisor
Employment Type: Full-time
On behalf of our client, a  microfinance institution committed to providing accessible and affordable financial services to individuals, entrepreneurs, and small businesses. We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and results-oriented Marketing & Communications Supervisor to strengthen our brand, increase market visibility, and support business growth. The Marketing & Communications Supervisor will be responsible for planning and implementing marketing and communication strategies that increase brand awareness, attract and retain customers, promote financial products, and enhance the company’s corporate image.
Key Responsibilities
•    Develop and implement effective marketing and communication plans aligned with the company’s business objectives.
•    Plan and coordinate marketing campaigns for loans, savings, and other financial products.
•    Supervise the company’s social media platforms, website content, and other digital communication channels.
•    Create and coordinate engaging marketing materials, including posters, brochures, flyers, videos, and promotional content.
•    Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities.
•    Support customer acquisition and retention initiatives.
•    Coordinate promotional events, community outreach programmes, exhibitions, and financial literacy campaigns.
•    Maintain consistent corporate branding across all company communication and marketing materials.
•    Build and maintain relationships with media houses, advertising agencies, community organisations, and other strategic partners.
•    Monitor and report on marketing performance, customer acquisition, campaign results, and return on marketing investment.
•    Supervise and mentor marketing and communications staff or external service providers.
•    Work closely with business development, credit, operations, and customer service teams to support business growth.
•    Manage the marketing and communications budget and ensure efficient utilisation of resources.
•    Handle internal and external corporate communications professionally.
•    Ensure all marketing communications comply with applicable microfinance, consumer protection, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications & Experience
•    Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations, or a related field.
•    Professional qualification in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline is an added advantage.
•    At least 3 years’ relevant experience, preferably within microfinance, banking, financial services, insurance, or a related industry.
•    Previous supervisory or team-leadership experience is required.
•    Demonstrable experience in digital marketing and social media management.
•    Strong knowledge of marketing campaign development and brand management.
•    Experience in customer acquisition and market research is an advantage.
