On behalf of our client, Automobile company we seek to recruit and interview for Operations Manager. The Operations Manager will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the company’s operational activities to ensure efficiency, productivity, profitability, and exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will oversee vehicle sales operations, workshop services, spare parts management, logistics, and administrative functions while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
•    Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company to ensure efficiency and effectiveness across all departments.
•    Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and performance standards.
•    Coordinate vehicle procurement, inventory management, and distribution activities.
•    Supervise workshop operations to ensure timely, high-quality vehicle servicing and repairs.
•    Manage spare parts inventory to maintain adequate stock levels and minimize downtime.
•    Monitor operational costs and implement cost-control measures without compromising service quality.
•    Collaborate with the Sales and Finance departments to achieve business objectives and improve profitability.
•    Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
•    Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational performance.
•    Lead, mentor, and evaluate departmental managers and operational staff.
•    Resolve operational challenges and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
•    Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, transport providers, and other stakeholders.
•    Prepare operational reports and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
Required Qualifications & Experience
•    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
•    A postgraduate qualification in Management or Business Administration will be an added advantage.
•    Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in operations management, with at least three (3) years in a leadership role.
•    Experience in the automotive, motor vehicle, dealership, transport, or manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
•    Strong knowledge of supply chain management, inventory control, workshop operations, and business process improvement.
•    Excellent leadership, organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
•    Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
