Job Description
- Lead factory wide environmental health and safety operations to protect personnel, plant assets, and surrounding communities from workplace hazards.
- Oversee waste treatment processes and maintain full regulatory compliance with NEMA, Ministry of Labor, and statutory industrial safety requirements.
- Drive proactive risk prevention and continuous improvement across all operational departments through active safety leadership and rigorous compliance monitoring.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Enforce factory safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and hygiene controls across all production and support areas.
- Manage workplace hazard identification, risk assessments, and implementation of effective preventive control measures.
- Oversee the operation and compliance of factory waste treatment systems in accordance with NEMA standards.
- Ensure strict organizational compliance with Ministry of Labor safety regulations and statutory reporting requirements.
- Lead emergency response preparedness, safety drills, and investigations into workplace incidents or near misses.
- Supervise, schedule, and mentor the departmental safety team while maintaining an active field presence across operating shifts.
- Coordinate cross functional safety initiatives with maintenance, production, and quality teams to eliminate unsafe workarounds.
- Maintain complete, traceable, and audit ready records including incident reports, statutory filings, and compliance checklists.
- Escalate critical safety hazards, environmental spills, and major regulatory concerns immediately through established reporting channels.

Education Qualifications & Experience
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, or a directly related technical discipline
- Higher Diploma or Ordinary Diploma in Environmental Health, Industrial Safety, Engineering, or relevant technical fields combined with substantial practical management experience
- Relevant UBTEB, TVET, or recognized professional certifications in occupational safety, environmental auditing, or quality management
- Equivalent accredited international qualifications in occupational safety or environmental health disciplines

- 5+ years in industrial health and safety management.
