Seasoning Coating Drum Operator

Job Detail

Calibrate dry powder flavor feeders and rotating seasoning drums to ensure uniform flavor application on chips and peanuts.
Operate seasoning drum equipment through start up, continuous running, changeover, and shutdown while maintaining strict quality, recipe, and safety standards.
Perform end to end station monitoring, routine defect checks, and sanitation routines to prevent contamination and downstream processing delays.

Operate seasoning coating drums, dosing pumps, and dry powder flavor feeders according to approved operating procedures.
Calibrate feeder rates and drum rotation speeds to maintain uniform flavor application and recipe adherence.
Inspect the work area before line start up to verify that machine guards, raw ingredients, and operating materials are properly in place.
Monitor equipment continuously during production and perform minor adjustments strictly within authorized limits.
Conduct visual, weight, alignment, and flavor coverage quality checks on finished chips and peanuts at defined intervals.
Segregate off specification or defective products promptly to prevent further processing or packing.
Execute end of run cleaning, sanitation, allergen control, and product changeover protocols to remove all residues and foreign materials.
Maintain accurate, legible, and traceable records of machine settings, check results, and shift logs.
Escalate equipment faults, product contamination risks, and safety hazards immediately to technical support and supervisors.

Ordinary Diploma or National Diploma in Food Processing, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Production Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Agricultural Engineering, Applied Sciences, or related technical disciplines.
National Certificate, Craft Certificate, Technical Trade Certificate, or TVET qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Food Processing, Production Technology, or related industrial trades.
Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) for entry level trainee pathways with demonstrated literacy, numeracy, and mechanical capability.

No prior work experience required.
Includes 2 weeks of onboarding and practical training on flavor calibration and drum operation.
