Job Description
- Oversee end to end supply chain operations, encompassing farm to factory agricultural sourcing, raw materials, packaging imports, logistics fleets, and inventory management.
- Provide strategic leadership and governance to ensure supply resilience, operational continuity, and alignment with organizational growth plans.
- Deliver financial stewardship and risk oversight across procurement, contracting, and distribution to protect enterprise value and operational standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Direct farm to factory sourcing, agricultural procurement, and packaging import operations to maintain reliable raw material pipelines.
- Oversee logistics fleet operations and inventory management to prevent stockouts, minimize holding costs, and optimize distribution.
- Negotiate high value vendor contracts and commercial agreements to secure favorable terms while safeguarding quality and delivery schedules.
- Translate organizational objectives into practical medium and long term operating plans, capital budgets, and talent capability targets.
- Oversee procurement budgets, cash flow requirements, and expenditure forecasts to eliminate avoidable waste and commercial losses.
- Enforce strict adherence to occupational safety, food safety, environmental regulations, and import export compliance across all supply chain facilities.
- Coordinate closely with manufacturing, finance, quality, and commercial departments to resolve coordination bottlenecks and prevent operational downtime.
- Analyze supply chain performance trends and implement continuous improvement programs using root cause analysis and operational data.

Education Qualifications & Experience
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement & Logistics, Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Food Science, or a related discipline.
- A relevant Master’s degree, MBA, MSc, MA, MEng, or postgraduate diploma is preferred.
- Professional certification such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) or equivalent is an added advantage.
- Equivalent foreign qualifications recognized in Uganda are accepted.

- 7+ years of experience managing FMCG supply chain operations and agricultural sourcing.
