About the Role

The Branch Manager will oversee the daily operations of the bank’s Mbale branch, ensuring effective service delivery, business growth, operational efficiency and compliance with banking policies and applicable regulations. The role involves supervising branch staff, developing customer relationships, driving business performance, managing operational risks and ensuring that the branch achieves its financial and service objectives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations and administration of the branch.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve branch business targets.
  • Supervise, guide and evaluate branch employees.
  • Monitor branch performance, productivity and service quality.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and business partners.
  • Support customer acquisition, retention and business development.
  • Ensure compliance with banking policies, procedures and applicable regulations.
  • Monitor operational risks and ensure proper handling of customer transactions.
  • Review branch reports and provide regular performance updates to management.
  • Address customer complaints and ensure timely resolution of service issues.
