King Ceasor University (KCU) is a chartered private higher education institution located in Uganda, dedicated to fostering global vision, innovation, and an entrepreneurial mindset. Originally established in 2011 as St. Augustine International University, the institution rebranded and achieved a milestone in July 2025 when it officially received a university charter signed by President Yoweri Museveni. The university’s main campus is nestled on Bunga Hill along Ggaba Road in the Makindye Division of Kampala, offering a serene and technologically advanced studying environment.
The academic framework of King Ceasor University is organized across three primary schools: the School of Medicine, Health & Life Sciences; the School of Law & Management Sciences; and the School of Science, Computing & Engineering. KCU serves a highly international student body representing dozens of nationalities. Under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Dr. Charity Basaza Mulenga and its founding Chancellor, H.E. King Ceasor T.G. (the Honorary Consul of Vietnam to Uganda), the university specializes in producing globally employable job-creators.
The institution is highly acclaimed for its health sciences wing, offering competitive programs like the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB), Bachelor of Nursing Sciences, and various medical laboratory diplomas. KCU blends rigid classroom instructions with immersive experiential learning, demonstrated by its petroleum geoscience students conducting geothermal exploration field trips to the Tilenga Project area. Furthermore, to make education accessible to all demographics, KCU is officially approved under the Government Students’ Loan Scheme (HESFB), allowing eligible students to secure full financing for accredited programs.
To align with modern market demands, the university actively drives multi-sectoral institutional partnerships. KCU holds strategic Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with industrial entities like Tecnovia Uganda to expand internships and engineering mentorships, alongside agreements with the Praxis Conflict Centre to advance Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) education. On an international scale, the university operates a active student exchange program with Kyungdong University in South Korea, allowing high-performing students to leverage tuition-free semesters and double-degree pathways abroad.
