Analytical Chemistry Lab Analyst

Job Detail

Conduct end to end analytical laboratory testing including titrations, pH measurements, peroxide value testing, salt content analysis, and moisture determinations.
Safeguard product quality, safety, and compliance by generating reliable analytical data and preventing non conforming materials from entering production or dispatch.

Perform titrations, pH measurements, peroxide value testing, salt content analysis, and moisture determinations using approved laboratory methods.
Prepare chemical reagents, standard solutions, and reference materials following controlled laboratory protocols and safety standards.
Calibrate, verify, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment prior to executing analytical testing.
Record observations, raw data, and test results promptly to ensure complete, traceable, and audit ready documentation.
Identify, document, and contain non conforming raw materials, in process samples, or finished goods, escalating deviations through appropriate channels.
Participate in evidence based root cause analysis and support the verification of corrective and preventive actions.
Maintain the laboratory environment, equipment logs, and test procedures to ensure continuous readiness for internal and external audits, including UNBS inspections.
Follow all occupational safety, food hygiene, chemical handling, and personal protective equipment protocols to protect laboratory integrity and personal safety.

Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Chemistry, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Science and Technology, Food Processing Technology, Microbiology, Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, Laboratory Science, Applied Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related science discipline.
Higher Diploma, Ordinary Diploma, National Diploma, or recognized technical laboratory qualification in Laboratory Science, Industrial Chemistry, Food Processing Technology, Applied Sciences, or a related discipline.
