Job Description
Job title: Area Sales Supervisor
Work Location: Hariss International Limited – Kampala, Uganda
Division / Department: Commercial
Reports to: Regional Sales Manager
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carry out market research through understanding customer needs, (4ps price, product, promotions, and place)
- Identify opportunities to grow and increase profit and monitoring the competition in the market
- Does sales follow-up by ensuring a door to door marketing strategy is implemented by the team
- Maintain data of customers categories (restaurant, SMKT, Retailers, Bar, Stockiest)
- Design route plans on completion area and draw route maps.
- Confirm selling at company recommended price.
- Supervise, monitor, and manage the performance and discipline of the team
- Market survey as per brand against completion, (special sheet designed for this purpose)
- Analysis for fast- and slow-moving brands
- Evaluate Agent distribution means (staff, transport)
- Explain to customers profitability of doing business with the company (Hariss International Ltd)
- Train sales team and depot managers on stock control book and sales report
- Suggests plans, promotion, strategies of the visited area to improve distribution and boost sales
- Provide monthly and quarterly reports (on top of end of area activation reports
- Performs any other task as per management request.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, business, or related field preferably.
- 3-5 years’ previous experience in customer support, client services, sales, or a related field
- Demonstrated and proven sales result
