| Position | Assistant Lecturer, Department of Geography, Geo Informatics and Climatic Sciences |

| Key Duties & Responsibilities | 1. Teach, examine and grade students;
2. Supervise research for students; 3. Mentor junior staff; 4. Conduct research and community outreach activities; 5. Write proposals for attracting funding to the department; 6. Perform any other official duties as assigned by the Head of Department. |
| Required Qualifications | i. A Master’s Degree in Disaster Risk Management or Climate Change and Development or Meteorology or Applied Meteorology or Quantitative Climate and Environmental Sciences or Environment and Natural Resources;
ii. At least an Upper Second Bachelor’s of Science in Meteorology or PGD in Meteorology. iii. Strong methodological competences in qualitative and quantitative analysis, Geostatistics, Applied Statistics and Biometry, Climate Modeling, Spatial Analytical Tools, Programing, GIS Systems, Thinking and Modelling is an added advantage. |
