Job Description
- Execute comprehensive nightly chemical sanitation of syrup tanks, filler bowl interiors, floors, and environmental drains to maintain rigorous hygiene standards.
- Safeguard food safety and production continuity by preventing contamination risks, managing chemical applications responsibly, and maintaining audit ready sanitation records.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct nightly chemical sanitation of syrup tanks, filler bowl interiors, floors, and environmental drains according to established procedures.
- Operate high pressure foam sprayers and sanitation tools safely to thoroughly clean production surfaces and processing machinery.
- Measure and dose food grade cleaning chemicals safely, following specified dilution rates and chemical safety data requirements.
- Identify and control physical, chemical, environmental, and equipment hazards across work areas, escalating unresolved risks immediately.
- Comply strictly with occupational safety, food hygiene, personal protective equipment (PPE), and equipment isolation protocols.
- Maintain complete, legible, and accurate records of sanitation checklists, chemical usage logs, and inspection findings.
- Execute spill response and emergency procedures promptly, safely isolating hazards and reporting incidents through standard command channels.
- Coordinate effectively with production and maintenance teams during shift handovers to communicate equipment readiness and sanitation status.

Education Qualifications & Experience
Education Qualifications
- National Technical Certificate or Diploma in Environmental Health, Chemistry, or Chemical Technology.
- Bachelor’s Degree, Higher Diploma, Ordinary Diploma, National Diploma, or Technical Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Public Health, Industrial Safety, Food Science, Agriculture, Water and Environmental Engineering, Waste Management, Building Services, or a directly related discipline.
- Technical or vocational qualification combined with structured workplace training in operational sanitation or cleaning.
- Certifications in NEBOSH, IOSH, first aid, fire safety, environmental management, chemical handling, pest management, or HACCP serve as an added advantage.
Experience
- No prior work experience required.
- Includes 2 weeks safety and sanitation training.
