WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Ensure compliance with OSH Act Cap 231 (as amended in 2025) and National Environment Act Cap 181
- Conduct risk assessments, inspections and audits
- Investigate incidents and drive corrective actions
- Provide EHS training and promote safety culture
- Manage environment compliance with NEMA
- Oversee waste, emissions, effluent and hazardous substances management
- Lead emergency preparedness and fire safety
- Manage contractor safety and permit to work systems
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s degree in OSH, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field
- 4-6 years’ EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial operations
- Strong knowledge of Ugandan EHS laws (OSH Act Cap 231& Environment Act Cap 181)
- Experience in risk assessment, incident investigation and EHS training
- Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
- NEBOSH / IOSH or relevant certifications is an added advantage
