Applicants should indicate the reference number and the post they are applying for and should address their applications to the Secretary Zombo District Service Commission, to reach not later than Wednesday 20th May, 2026 at 5:00PM. Interested qualified Ugandans are encouraged to submit their applications in triplicate on Public Service Form No. 3 (Revised 2008) or download the form from the webpage of the Public Service Commission (http://psc.go.ug/images/forms/PSC%20form%203.pdf) and submit with three sets of photocopies of certified transcripts and certificates, recent passport size photographs, national identification card and a detailed Curriculum Vitae. Those already in Government service should route their applications through their Responsible Officer who should be informed of the closing date to avoid unnecessary delays. Serving Officers may submit an advance copy of the application directly to the Secretary District Service Commission to enable the commission carry out short listing exercise.

Reports to: Senior Health Educator
Responsible for:

  • Assistant Health Educators
Job Purpose
  • To implement Health Education programmes in the district.
Key Outputs
  • Health education in the community conducted.
  • Health education needs of the community assessed and compiled.
  • Implementation of health education guidelines monitored.
  • Training of communities and health workers on the usage of health education materials done.
  • Health education reports compiled and submitted.
Key Functions
  • Participating in the development and implementation of appropriate health education materials.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of health education materials.
  • Participating in the planning for health education interventions.
  • Maintaining an inventory of health education materials and equipment.
  • Participating in research activities.
  • Enforcing adherence to the Code of Conduct and Ethics.
  • Compiling and submitting reports on health education.
Person Specifications

Qualifications

  • Must have an Honors Degree in Health Education from a recognized institution.

  • Coaching and mentoring.
