IT FinTech Applications Officer

Job Detail

The job holder is responsible for the proactive identification, isolation, and resolution of issues in the Mobile Wallet & FinTech Applications space.
He/she must ensure platform uptime and service availability, attend to customer trouble tickets escalated from front-end teams within SLA, and ensure efficient operations and maintenance of the Wallet & FinTech Applications.

Monitor IT FinTech Applications uptime and performance through monitoring tools, alerts, and dashboards.
Analyze and resolve FinTech application-related issues escalated from bank level 2 support teams and maintain proper documentation/logs for resolutions provided.
Coordinate with FinTech application vendors in case of product bugs or enhancement requirements and follow up for timely resolution.
Manage all FinTech application-related calls, problems, and incidents in the BT Service Desk system, including investigation, follow-ups, and closure.
Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard the Bank’s FinTech applications platform against unauthorized access or modifications.
Manage, configure, and optimize integration of FinTech applications with internal and external systems.
Gather system enhancement, data extraction requests, and reporting requirements from users and collaborate with the Business Technology team to develop technical specifications.
Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager.

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related fields.
Certification in an IT-related course is an added advantage.
Practical training in IT-related short courses.
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in an IT department within a busy organization.
Advanced knowledge in dockerization and containerization.
Advanced knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems.
In-depth experience in SQL and database management systems (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
In-depth experience in Windows operating systems.
Programming experience (Python, C#, PHP, JavaScript, Java, etc.).
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Scripting knowledge.
