Job Description

About the Employer

The Uganda Network on Law, Ethics and HIV/AIDS (UGANET) is a non-governmental organisation established in 1995. It promotes human rights, health rights, legal protection, HIV awareness and gender equality, with a focus on vulnerable and marginalised populations.

UGANET is recruiting 34 field staff to support refugee response and field operations across refugee settlements and host communities in Uganda.

 

Legal Officer (6 Positions)

Duty Stations: Adjumani, Rhino Camp, Imvepi, Bidibidi, Nakivale and Kyangwali. One position per station.

About the Role: Provide legal information and assistance, support referrals and access to justice, document cases and liaise with legal and protection stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a recognised institution.
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (Bar Course).
  • Must possess a valid practising certificate.
  • At least two years’ experience in legal practice.
