Job Description
Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
On behalf of our client SPIRO, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Logistics Officers upcountry hub to work up-country.

Job purpose:
The Logistics Officer will oversee the day-to-day logistics operations of the EV hub, ensuring seamless battery swapping, charging efficiency, and distribution of electric bikes to end-users. This role focuses on maintaining 100% battery availability, asset management, and providing high-quality service to riders, while operating in a fast-paced and occasionally remote environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Battery Swapping & Charging Management:
- Coordinate the quick exchange of depleted batteries with fully charged ones for customers.
- Monitor the charging status of all battery packs to ensure high uptime and 24/7 availability for riders.
- Perform basic health checks and diagnostics on returned battery packs, identifying damaged or underperforming units.
- Maintain cleanliness and security of the battery storage and charging area.
Inventory & Asset Tracking:
- Manage the inventory of batteries, chargers, and spare parts at the hub, ensuring accurate records of inflow and outflow using company software/smartphones.
- Oversee the deployment, retrieval, and maintenance of EV bikes distributed from the hub.
- Tag, record, and tag all company assets, including batteries and tools.
Distribution & Operations:
- Manage the distribution of new electric bikes to clients and handle the retrieval of bikes for maintenance.
- Oversee customer-based queues and plan/allocate tasks to meet daily swapping demands.
- Coordinate with technical teams for repairs and maintenance of charging equipment and bikes.
Reporting & Compliance:
- Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on battery turnover, bike usage, inventory levels, and system failures.
- Ensure all operations adhere to safety protocols, particularly in handling lithium-ion batteries.
- Maintain accurate inventory databases.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years in logistics, fleet management, or warehouse management, preferably in the electric mobility sector.
- Understanding of EV batteries, charging infrastructure, and basic electrical systems.
- Experience with smartphone apps, inventory software, and MS Office (Excel).
- Fluent in English and local languages, with strong interpersonal skills to handle rider issues.
- Ability to lift at least 25 kilograms (battery weight).
- Experience in rural logistics or last-mile delivery is highly desirable.

Working Conditions
- This role requires shift work, including weekends, to support riders.
- Based at an up-country hub, requiring strong autonomy in operations
