Job Description

Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.

On behalf of our client SPIRO, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced logistics operations hubs coordinator to work in Kampala.

Job purpose:

The Logistics Operations Hubs Coordinator will oversee all Logistics officers at upcountry hubs, managing the end-to-end supply chain for battery EV bike distribution and battery swapping operations. This role ensures maximum battery availability, efficient swapping workflows, and timely distribution of bikes to support the company’s green energy goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Leadership & Operations Oversight

  • Supervise Logistics Officers and delivery drivers: Lead, mentor, and schedule upcountry logistics officers, ensuring high performance in daily swapping operations.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure swapping stations are clean, safe, and fully functional, adhering to health and safety (HSES) standards.
  • Performance Metrics: Monitor KPIs such as battery swapping speed, uptime, and rider demand to maintain efficiency.

Battery Swapping & Inventory Management

  • Battery Lifecycle Management: Manage the inspection, rotation, charging, and maintenance of lithium-ion batteries.
  • Inventory Accuracy: Oversee real-time tracking of battery inventory and distribution through company software.
  • Smart Rebalancing: Direct the relocation of batteries and e-bikes from low-demand areas to high-traffic hubs.

 

Distribution & Upcountry Logistics

  • Vehicle Distribution: Manage the delivery and deployment of electric bikes to up-country hubs.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot and repair bikes and swapping infrastructure.
  • Quality Control: Complete quality checks for bikes and batteries upon arrival and before deployment.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Data Analysis: Utilize digital tools to track operational performance and prepare weekly/monthly reports on system failures and repairs.
  • Safety Adherence: Ensure compliance with safety standards for handling and storing batteries to mitigate risks.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3–5 years in logistics, supply chain management, or EV battery operations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing remote or field-based teams.
  • Skilled in using logistics management software, MS Excel, and battery management platforms.
  • Strong understanding of EV infrastructure, battery swap stations, and maintenance.
  • Fluent in English and local languages (crucial for upcountry operations).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Administration preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Based in Kampala with frequently visiting upcountry hubs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy, and sometimes challenging field environment.
