Oil Filtration & Quality Technician

Job Detail

Conduct end to end quality testing and monitoring of frying oil to ensure food safety, operational compliance, and consistent product standards.
Operate and maintain frying oil filtration systems to optimize oil lifespan, minimize waste, and prevent product quality deviations.
Maintain accurate testing records and audit ready documentation to support quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.

Test frying oil for Free Fatty Acids (FFA), peroxide value, and total polar compounds using approved testing methods and frequencies.
Operate frying oil filtration equipment and replace filter papers in line with operating standards and hygiene requirements.
Inspect, sample, and verify raw materials, oil conditions, and reference materials before recording and relying on analytical results.
Document and isolate non conforming materials or out of specification oil to prevent unauthorized release or downstream processing.
Record all chemical analysis findings, equipment settings, and quality observations promptly and accurately in shift logs.
Participate in root cause analysis for quality deviations and support the execution and verification of corrective actions.
Maintain the work area, testing instruments, and documentation in full readiness for UNBS and internal food safety audits.
Adhere strictly to food hygiene, occupational health, chemical safety protocols, and personal protective equipment standards at all times.

Laboratory instrument verification, chemical handling, and sampling techniques
Technical documentation, digital record entry, and quality reporting
Identification of non conformances and systematic root cause problem solving

Bachelor’s Degree, Higher Diploma, Ordinary Diploma, or National Diploma in Industrial Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, Food Science and Technology, or Food Processing Technology.
Bachelor’s Degree, Higher Diploma, Ordinary Diploma, National Diploma, or laboratory technical qualification in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, Laboratory Science, Environmental Health, Public Health, Quality Management, Packaging Technology, Agriculture, Applied Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or closely related science discipline.
Food safety, HACCP, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, or laboratory quality management certifications are beneficial.
