Job Description
- Performs routine sampling and inspections directly on active manufacturing and packaging lines to verify that products satisfy established quality standards throughout production.
- Identifies defects in real time during production runs to enable rapid correction, prevent waste, and support seamless packaging flow.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Collect product samples from active packaging lines at designated hourly or production intervals without disrupting production flow.
- Inspect packaging appearance, seal integrity, label placement, container condition, cleanliness, and visible physical defects.
- Verify net product weight using calibrated scales against approved tolerance limits.
- Examine packaging seals for leaks, weakness, incomplete sealing, wrinkles, contamination, and alignment errors.
- Verify printed batch numbers, manufacturing dates, expiry dates, product names, and flavour identifiers on packaging.
- Record all inspection measurements accurately on quality control forms, check sheets, tablets, or computerized systems.
- Report out of specification findings immediately following escalation procedures and place affected material on hold under supervision.
- Perform routine pre use verification checks on measuring tools including scales, gauges, thermometers, and torque devices.
- Comply with all gowning, handwashing, PPE, product contact, foreign body prevention, and contamination control rules.

Education Qualifications & Experience
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, Higher Diploma, Ordinary Diploma, National Diploma, National Certificate, technical certificate, vocational qualification, or recognized equivalent in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Processing, Nutrition, Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Laboratory Technology, Quality Assurance, Quality Management, Applied Sciences, Agriculture, Chemical Technology, Packaging Technology, Industrial Production, Manufacturing Technology, or related fields.
- UACE with science subjects for trainee entry.
- Strong UCE for suitably supervised inspection roles after completing company training.
Experience
- No prior work experience required.
- Employees complete practical onboarding and live line training to perform standard inspections independently by the fourth week.
