Job Description
- Visit supermarkets and retail shops across Mbarara town to arrange clean product displays, place point of sale materials, and check stock freshness.
- Enhance brand visibility and outlet stock presentation while building constructive retailer relationships across assigned territories.
- Coordinate day to day trade execution to ensure commercial commitments align with operational stock availability and trade integrity standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Visit assigned retail shops and supermarkets across Mbarara to set up clean, visible product displays and point of sale materials.
- Rotate stock systematically on retail shelves following first in, first out (FIFO) standards to protect product freshness and prevent expiries.
- Monitor on shelf pricing, stock availability, competitor movements, and promotional execution across designated retail channels.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with retailers while consistently enforcing company pricing, credit, and returns policies.
- Track daily and monthly merchandising targets to identify visibility and distribution gaps early across assigned outlets.
- Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and sales teams to confirm that field commitments reflect available inventory and operational capacity.
- Maintain accurate, legible, and timely daily visit logs, stock checklists, and outlet execution trackers.
- Comply with trade integrity requirements by preventing unapproved discounts, side agreements, or misreporting of retail data.
- Follow established occupational health, hygiene, and product safety protocols throughout all in store merchandising activities.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Sales, Commerce, Business Administration, Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Procurement, Economics, Statistics, Mass Communication, Public Relations, International Business, Retail Management, Customer Service, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Business Computing, or related disciplines.
- Diploma or Higher Diploma in Marketing, Sales, Commerce, Business Administration, Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Procurement, Economics, Statistics, Mass Communication, Public Relations, International Business, Retail Management, Customer Service, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Business Computing, or related disciplines.
- Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE / S.6) Certificate with strong numeracy, commercial awareness, and communication skills.

- No prior work experience required.
- Includes 2 weeks trade merchandising and brand display training.
