Job Description

PALM Corps is a registered National NGO committed to improving the quality of life of vulnerable populations through transformative education and community development initiatives. In partnership with Danish Refugee Council (DRC) and UNHCR, PALM Corps is implementing an education programme in refugee-hosting districts.

To address critical staffing gaps and expand access to quality education, PALM Corps invites applications from qualified and motivated individuals to fill the following positions in Rhino Camp, Imvepi, and Bidibidi Refugee Settlements.

SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHERS (17 POSITIONS)

Duty Stations: Imvepi, Rhino Camp (Terego/Madi Okollo)

Reports to: Headteacher

Subject Combinations Required

  • Biology/Chemistry – 6
  • Physics/Mathematics – 5
  • Agriculture – 1
  • Economics/History – 1
  • Business Studies – 1
  • English/Literature – 1
  • Physical Education – 1 (Diploma holders acceptable)

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Conduct continuous assessment and maintain learner records
  • Manage classroom discipline and promote child safeguarding
  • Participate in co-curricular and school community activities
  • Engage in professional development and teacher support initiatives

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma in Secondary Education (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Must be registered with the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES)
  • At least 2 years’ teaching experience preferred
  • Ability to work in multicultural and refugee settings
  • Strong professional ethics and child protection awareness
