This internship offers hands-on experience with modern tech stacks, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, REST APIs, and database management. You will participate in daily agile standups, code reviews, and architectural discussions, giving you direct insight into full-lifecycle software development.

Responsibilities

Feature Development & Refactoring 1. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code to implement backend services, frontend user interfaces, and core API endpoints. 2. Refactor existing codebases to optimize speed, reliability, and modularity. 3. Collaborate with product designers and engineering leads to translate feature specifications into functional software. System Integration & Database Operations 1. Assist in writing and optimizing database schemas, migrations, and queries across relational and non-relational databases. 2. Help integrate third-party APIs, authentication protocols, and webhooks into existing application architectures. 3. Participate in writing containerized configurations (e.g., Docker) for local development environments. Testing, Debugging & Quality Assurance 1. Debug bugs, reproduce edge cases, and apply fixes across production and staging environments. 2. Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to maintain high code coverage and reduce system regressions. 3. Review peer code through GitHub pull requests and implement feedback from senior engineers.

Requirements

1. Educational Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical bootcamp/self-taught equivalent. 2. Core Programming Skills: Proficiency in at least one modern language (e.g., Go, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or Java). 3. Web & API Fundamentals: Basic understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP protocols, JSON structures, and web frameworks (e.g., Next.js, Node.js, Gin, or Django). 4. Database & Tooling Knowledge: Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) or ORMs (e.g., Prisma), as well as version control systems (Git & GitHub). 5. Problem-Solving & Communication: Strong analytical thinking, ability to break complex problems into smaller tasks, and clear written/verbal communication skills. Plus/Bonus Qualifications: – Basic understanding of Docker or containerization. – Experience building personal projects, open-source contributions, or previous technical projects.

Benefits

– Mentorship & Learning: Pair programming and direct 1-on-1 mentorship with experienced engineers. – Real Production Impact: Opportunity to ship code directly to live environments used by real users. -Stipend & Perks: Competitive internship stipend, flexible working hours, and technical learning resources. – Career Path: High-performing interns may be considered for full-time Junior Software Engineer roles upon completion.
