Position Summary

The Construction Foreman is the frontline leader responsible for supervising the labor crew and coordinating daily site activities. The role focuses on ensuring high productivity, maintaining safety standards on the ground, effective resource management, and reporting technical issues to the Site Engineer. He/ She ensures that construction tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

·       Lead, supervise and coordinate a multi-disciplinary team including subcontractors, masons, carpenters, steel fixers, plumbers, electricians, machine operators, and general laborers.

·       Assign daily tasks based on the Site Engineer’s schedule and monitor quality control, work output and adherence to timelines.

·       Enforce strict safety protocols: ensure 100% PPE usage, conduct weekly toolbox talks, and enforce permit-to-work systems.

·       Manage site logistics: including material handling and work sequencing, ensure proper handling, storage, and efficient use of materials (cement, aggregates, steel) to minimize waste.

·       Identify and report material shortages, equipment breakdowns, or safety hazards to the Site Engineer immediately.

·       Maintain daily attendance records and manage overtime for daily wage workers.

·       Coordinate with Electricians and Plumbers to avoid delays and ensure proper sequencing of trade (e.g., conduits and chases before casting). Report daily progress, manpower, and material usage to the Site Engineer.

·       Identify and resolve on‑site challenges affecting workflow.

·       Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, machinery, and equipment.

·       Complete any project related task assigned to him by the site engineer.

Perform any additional related tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.

 About You

Education & Experience

  • Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related trade.
  • Minimum 5 years of field experience in civil construction as a Foreman or Leadman.
  • AutoCAD or ArchiCAD certification is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and basic surveying; strong knowledge of local construction methods and structural finishes. Strong understanding of construction methods, safety standards, and site operations.
  • Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and team motivation abilities.
