Job Description

Uganda Martyrs’ Hospital (UMH), Diocese of Jinja, is a newly established state-of-the-art Private Not-for-Profit (PNFP) hospital in Jinja City. The hospital was founded by the Trustees of the Catholic Diocese of Jinja under the Ecclesiastical Province of Tororo Archdiocese. It aims to provide quality, affordable healthcare with a compassionate, patient-centred approach and is envisaged as a teaching and research hospital.

Laboratory Technologist – 4 Positions

About the Job

The Laboratory Technologists will support patient diagnosis by collecting and processing specimens, conducting laboratory tests and producing accurate and timely results. The role is essential to ensuring clinicians have reliable laboratory information for patient management.

Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • Degree or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology – 2 positions.
  • Laboratory Certificate – 2 positions.
  • Relevant professional registration.
  • Valid practicing licence where applicable.
  • Experience in a hospital laboratory is an added advantage.

The role requires attention to detail, adherence to laboratory procedures, infection prevention and control and proper handling of laboratory specimens.
