Job Title: Sous Chef (1 Position)
- Location: Makindye Branch, Kampala, Uganda
- Reports To: Head Chef

Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled, passionate, and fast-paced Sous Chef to join our culinary team in Makindye. As the second-in-command in our kitchen, you will help manage food preparation, ensure strict portion control, and enforce top-tier hygiene practices to deliver consistently delicious meals to our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Kitchen Operations: Run the kitchen line efficiently during peak hours, ensuring meals are prepared quickly and to standard.
- Quality Control: Inspect ingredients for freshness and guarantee all outgoing plates meet presentation and taste guidelines.
- Inventory Management: Monitor food stock levels, minimize ingredient spoilage, and assist in ordering kitchen supplies.
- Sanitation: Enforce strict food safety, cleaning protocols, and personal hygiene standards among the kitchen staff.
- Team Support: Train and guide line cooks and kitchen assistants, stepping in for the Head Chef when necessary.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2 to 3 years of practical experience, ideally in a busy restaurant or hospitality kitchen.
- Technical Skills: Sound knowledge of diverse cooking methods, knife skills, food safety regulations, and kitchen equipment operation.
- Attributes: Excellent speed, stamina to stand for long periods, strong team player, and a passion for culinary excellence.
