Job Description
Job Title: Cashier (2 Positions)
- Locations: Makindye Branch & Buziga Branch, Kampala, Uganda
- Reports To: Branch Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking trustworthy and meticulous Cashiers to manage front-of-house financial transactions at our Makindye and Buziga branches. You will handle payments, greet customers warmly, maintain accurate till balances, and ensure the billing process runs smoothly and securely.
Key Responsibilities
- Transaction Management: Process cash, mobile money, and card payments accurately using the restaurant Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Customer Interaction: Welcoming guests warmly, answering basic questions about the menu, and handling order receipts.
- Financial Accountability: Count the cash drawer at the start and end of shifts to ensure accurate balances with zero discrepancies.
- Order Triage: Guide incoming orders to the kitchen or service staff efficiently to minimize guest wait times.
Qualifications
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience working in a cashier, retail teller, or front-facing customer service role.
- Skills: Excellent mental math, basic computer skills, and familiarity with POS machines and mobile money merchant systems.
- Attributes: High level of integrity, extreme attention to detail, a cheerful demeanor, and strong communication skills.
