Company Description

Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services for People with Disability in Uganda (CoRSU) is a specialized rehabilitation hospital established in 2009 as a local non-governmental organization. Located in Kisubi, off the Entebbe Road, its primary mission is to provide high-quality surgical and rehabilitation services to people with disabilities, with a particular focus on children. The hospital serves as a vital resource in Uganda’s healthcare landscape, offering a specialized environment where patients can access life-changing medical interventions that are often unavailable in general health facilities.
Over the past 15 years, CoRSU has made a profound impact on public health by changing the lives of over 60,000 children through essential surgical procedures. In addition to these surgeries, the facility has successfully rehabilitated more than 100,000 patients across a wide variety of medical disciplines. These services include orthopedic surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, and specialized treatments for conditions such as clubfoot, cleft lip and palate, and various physical impairments resulting from burns or trauma.
The hospital operates through a holistic model that combines clinical excellence with social integration efforts to ensure patients can lead productive lives. Beyond the operating room, CoRSU provides comprehensive therapy services, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and the production of orthopedic appliances like prosthetics and orthotics. By maintaining a commitment to accessibility and expert care, the institution continues to lead the way in reducing the burden of disability and promoting inclusivity for vulnerable populations throughout Uganda.
