| Position | Assistant Lecturer, Department of Surgery |

| Reporting To | Head of Department |
| Key Duties & Responsibilities | 1. Teach, examine and grade students;
2. Supervise research for students; 3. Mentor junior staff; 4. Conduct research and community outreach activities; 5. Write proposals for attracting funding to the department; 6. Perform any other official duties as assigned by the Head of Department. |
| Required Qualifications | i. Master’s degree in Neurosurgery;
ii. At least an Upper Second Bachelor’s degree of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. iii. Registration and licensure by the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners council; iv. Valid practicing License |
| Tenure of Appointment | 4-year contract |
| Age Limit | APPLICANTS SHOULD NOT EXCEED FORTY (40) YEARS OF AGE AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION |
| Remuneration | PU6.2 |
