Job Description
Job Title: Bids and New Business Coordinator
- Organisation: Akeyo Africa Limited
- Duty Station: Kampala (with occasional travel to field offices)
Job Purpose
The Bids and New Business Coordinator will drive the organization’s growth through the identification, preparation, and submission of competitive bids, while supporting the successful integration of new business streams. The role requires strong coordination, follow-through, and the ability to translate opportunities into executed projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and track relevant bid opportunities across sectors
- Lead the preparation, coordination, and submission of high-quality bids and proposals
- Liaise with internal teams to gather technical, financial, and operational inputs for bids
- Ensure compliance with bid requirements, timelines, and documentation standards
- Follow up on submitted bids through evaluation, award, and contracting stages
- Support onboarding and integration of new business streams into existing operations, including the E-commerce business
- Coordinate internal teams to ensure smooth execution of newly acquired projects
- Monitor performance of new business initiatives and prepare periodic reports
- Maintain a pipeline of opportunities and provide regular updates to leadership
- Build and maintain relationships with partners, clients, and key stakeholders
- Perform any other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or Project Management
- At least 2 years’ experience in business development, proposal writing, or bid coordination is an added advantage
- Strong understanding of project cycles from bidding to execution
- Adaptable, versatile, and proactive

- High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
