Job Description
| Position | HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER, Directorate of Human Resources |

| Job Purpose | Assist the Senior Human Resource Officer to perform HR functions |
| Key Duties & Responsibilities | 1. Implement, maintain and update programmes, procedures and strategies for the College in line with HR policies;
2. Implement annual work plans for the College in line with HR targets; 3. Provide technical support and implement decisions of the College subcommittees in line with HR policy; 4. Implement College development and change management programmes in line with HR policy; 5. Implement and identify gaps in the HR manual and recommend inputs for updating it in line with HR policy; 6. Capture, process, maintain and update College records on HURIS in line with HR policy; 7. Compile and keep records of payroll, benefits and allowances of College staff in line with HR policy; 8. Coordinate with the Centre in the implementation of HR policies. |
| Required Qualifications | i. A Master’s degree in Human Resources or MPA, MBA (Human Resource option) or other Master’s degree with a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resources Management from a recognized Institution;
ii. An Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Arts or Social Sciences or Education or other Humanity with a bias in Human Resource Management, Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from a recognized Institution; iii. Membership with an HR Professional Body is an added advantage. |

| Skills/Competences | 1. Leadership and supervisory skills;
2. Ability to interact with high level management; 3. Interpersonal and communication skills; 4. Knowledge of labour laws and other related acts; 5. Ability to build, lead and work with teams; 6. Computer literacy. |
| Tenure of Appointment | 4-year contract |
