Job Description
Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS)
UNBS is a Government Agency responsible for Standardization, Quality Assurance, Metrology, and Laboratory Testing (SQMT), with the objective of promoting fair trade and protecting consumers and the environment against harmful commodities.
UNBS invites suitably qualified Ugandans to apply for the following positions:
2. Standards Officer
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and enforce National Standards.
- Provide technical and scientific support in standardization programs.
- Conduct stakeholder analysis and incorporate requirements into work programs.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Honours Degree in:
- Civil Engineering
- Automotive Engineering
- Petroleum Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Chemistry
- Food Science and Technology
- Physics
- Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet applications.
- At least two (2) years post-graduation experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Team player.
- Age: Not above 35 years.

- High level of professionalism.
- Teamwork.
