Roving Consultant — App & Software Design
Position: Roving Consultant — App & Software Design
Employment Type: Roving Consultancy
Location: Uganda & Sub-Saharan Africa (Remote with travel)
Application Deadline: Rolling basis
Job Summary
The consultant will design and oversee the development of custom mobile applications, web applications, data platforms, and interactive digital tools that support NiDEC’s development delivery frameworks and client solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design user-centric mobile and web applications.
  • Architect robust data platforms and digital systems.
  • Oversee external development teams using agile methodologies.
  • Implement high-quality UI/UX product designs.
  • Ensure software alignment with program delivery targets.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated portfolio showing successful app/software design and delivery.
  • Practical experience with UX/UI design patterns and agile development.
  • Ability to work effectively on a flexible, assignment-based schedule.
