Roving Consultant — Climate Resilience & Financing
Position: Roving Consultant — Climate Resilience & Financing
Employment Type: Roving Consultancy
Location: Uganda & Sub-Saharan Africa (Remote with travel)
Application Deadline: Rolling basis
Job Summary
This role provides high-level technical expertise on climate resilience programming, adaptation financing, and green/climate fund mobilization for institutional, public sector, and community-level clients.
Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate technically sound climate resilience programs.
  • Advise on complex adaptation financing structures.
  • Mobilize capital from green funds and international climate mechanisms.
  • Lead technical writing and multi-million dollar proposal development.
  • Conduct environmental and climate impact vulnerability assessments.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Advanced degree (Master’s or higher) in Environmental Science, Climate Studies, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong experience working with major climate finance mechanisms (e.g., GCF, Adaptation Fund).
  • Exceptional proposal development and technical writing skills.
  • Prior regional project experience across Sub-Saharan Africa is highly advantageous.
