About the Role
YSAT is seeking a Project Coordinator to provide overall operational leadership, coordination, and technical supervision for its OCHA-funded Refugee Response Programme across Rhino Camp, Imvepi, and Bidibidi — overseeing cash assistance, WASH, community-based protection, and community engagement.
Recruitment is contingent upon confirmation of funding by UNOCHA’s Uganda Humanitarian Fund.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the operational rollout, monthly activity execution, and coordination across Rhino Camp, Imvepi, and Bidibidi settlements
- Coordinate participant targeting, profiling, verification, and mobilisation with OPM, UNHCR, district authorities, RWCs and other stakeholders
- Oversee cash-based interventions including CVA targeting, financial literacy training, and establishment of VSLA groups
- Coordinate quality implementation of WASH interventions: PSN latrines, tippy taps, hygiene supplies, and Community Hygiene Promoters
- Serve as YSAT’s focal person for the Refugee Response project in sector working groups and inter-agency coordination forums
- Prepare and submit high-quality consolidated reports in line with OCHA reporting guidelines and timelines
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Project Planning & Management, Development Studies, Social Work, International Relations, or related Social Sciences; Master’s or PGD highly desirable
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience coordinating multi-sectoral emergency humanitarian programmes in refugee/displacement contexts in Uganda
- Proven track record in Cash Transfers Programming and CVA Multipurpose Cash Grants, including coordination with Financial Service Providers
