Job Description: Business Development Manager (01 Vacancy)
Role Overview:
As the Business Development Manager, you will spearhead market expansion, strategic partnerships, and corporate commercial growth for EBX. You will be responsible for driving route monetization, onboarding corporate transit partnerships (shuttles and staff travel), expanding our smart-card distribution networks, and securing high-value mobile advertising contracts on our modern electric fleet.
As the Business Development Manager, you will spearhead market expansion, strategic partnerships, and corporate commercial growth for EBX. You will be responsible for driving route monetization, onboarding corporate transit partnerships (shuttles and staff travel), expanding our smart-card distribution networks, and securing high-value mobile advertising contracts on our modern electric fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
- B2B & Franchise Growth: Identify and secure corporate shuttle contracts, institution travel partnerships, and explore routing franchise opportunities across the Greater Kampala Metropolitan Area (GKMA).
- Ad Revenue Generation: Market and sell on-bus and digital screen advertising space to corporate brands leveraging our 20,000+ daily passenger visibility.
- Partnership Management: Build and manage relationships with strategic digital, financial, and telecom partners (e.g., MTN, Airtel) to scale digital ticketing infrastructure.
- Market Analytics: Conduct commuter demographic research to propose viable extensions for our scheduled feeder routes and optimize pricing strategies.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related commercial field.
- Proven track record in B2B corporate sales, corporate account management, or business development within the logistics, telecom, or transit sectors.
- Strong negotiation, pitch presentation, and corporate relationship management skills.
